Questions
Quality construction is key, but for material durability cedar stands out. Widely favored in North Carolina, cedar naturally resists decay and pests like termites thanks to its inherent oils, and it stays stable through our swings in temperature and humidity. You can expect 20 years out of a properly maintained cedar fence.
Cedar is the more resilient and enduring choice. It withstands the elements without special treatment and has minimal tendency to warp or shrink. Pressure-treated pine is more affordable but more prone to warping, buckling, and shrinking as it dries.
For a typical yard, a wood fence takes our crew 2–3 days. Larger properties can run to 4 days. The exact timeline depends on the project's complexity, weather, and site access — we give you a firm schedule with your quote.
We recommend waiting 1–2 months before applying stain. That lets the wood acclimate to local conditions and reach the right moisture level for staining and sealing. Staining too soon can trap moisture and lead to mold and rot.
